One of things that drew the two of us together is our mutual love of travel and we’ve already started the tradition of going somewhere new every summer. For the summer of 2026, we’re headed to Japan for our honeymoon, it’s been both our number one destinations for a long time. Instead of asking for stuff, we’re asking for your help to make the trip a little bit more perfect.

We’ve listed out a number of places and things we want to do while we’re there to give you a better idea as to what your gift would be going towards. Both of us are so lucky to have you all in our lives. Thank you for everything you’ve done to help us celebrate the best day ever.

Sanrio Puroland

Also known as Hello Kitty World, this indoor theme park is very high on our list. Angelica is a huge Sanrio fan and we’re so excited to go on rides, meet all the characters, and ring Hello Kitty’s Bell of Happiness (whatever that means.)

Eating at a Tiny Sushi Restaurant

There are restaurants that serve tiny sushi made from a single grain of rice. Way too cute not to go, we’ll likely have some regular sized sushi too.

Visiting an Onsen Town

In the Japanese countryside are villages built around natural hot springs, called Onsens. We love a good bathhouse and going to one that is basically an entire town sounds like heaven.

Staying at a Love Hotel

Love hotels are automated hotels geared towards couples looking for extra privacy. Many of them have all sorts of off the wall themes which is obviously why we’re going. Themes we’ve seen include dinosaurs, UFOs, race cars, and castles. We’ve included a picture of a particularly unhinged example. We’ll report back on which one we end up at.

The Studio Ghibli Museum

Obviously a mandatory stop for both of us. Nothing more needs to be said about this one other than that it’ll be life changing and Christian will likely cry.

Balling out in Akihabara

Akihabara is a shopping district district dedicated to anime, arcades, video games, and pachinko parlors. Anime bars, retro electronic shops, a build your own Game Boy Color spot, there’s a good chance we’ll spend a whole day there.
